I was inserting text into my document and it was erasing the text as I typed rather than inserting.

Your “Insert” key has been toggled off. Push the “Insert” key on the keyboard. Go to “Edit” on the
Menu Bar and select “Undo” until you get back to the point where you were trying to insert text and try
again.
• If working in Microsoft Word, you can “Undo” unlimited times but other programs only “Undo”
the last action performed.
• Another method to toggle “insert” on, double click on the letters “OVR” or “OUS” on the
bottom of the program window.
􀂾 If the letters “OVR” or “OUS” are greyed out, insert is toggled on.
􀂾 If the letters “OVR” or “OUS” are black, insert is toggled off.
